Revolutionary Love in the Time of COVID
Wednesday, July 15, 2020, 08:00pm

With the pandemic, racial inequality, unsupportive administration, and other pressing issues, Women’s March is committed to reclaiming love as a force of justice. Featuring Valarie Kaur from The Revolutionary Love Project, she talks about “Revolutionary Love” as the practice of loving others, ourselves and our opponents. Even rage is rooted in the practice of love because the opposite of love isn’t rage - it’s indifference. This is crucial because the greatest nonviolent social movements in history were rooted in the ethics of love. Not as a soft feeling but as hard, demanding labor. Valarie declares that this time of pain and crisis is also a chance to birth the America we dream, where no person is disposable. But we must stay in the labor. Join us as we dive deeper into the power of love in resistance.
