In September, we highlighted "8 Kick-Ass Subscription Boxes To Mail Yourself" on the BUST blog, but there's a couple of UK-based ones that deserve a shout-out too.

First up is Lucky Dip Club, "a super fun world of handmade and vintage all packaged up into surprise monthly boxes created by me: Leona Thrift-ola". The monthly themed boxes are a visual treat, full of vintage, slightly kitsch charm, from stationery and jewellery to accessories and homewares – and each month one design is personalised for the recipient.

"I launched Lucky Dip Club in May this year and prepared 100 boxes which sold out in one day," says Leona, who previously ran jewellery brand Lady Luck Rules OK. "I grow the subscriber list by 100 each month and in November the 700 boxes sold out in 4 hours."

A new box, a bumper Christmas edition, launches at 7 a.m. GMT on Monday, December 1, and competition to get one is likely to be fierce.

"Plans for the future are to grow the club to a membership of 1,000 and then operate a one in, one out system (as someone unsubscribes, someone on the waiting list can subscribe); this way I will only produce 1,000 of each item to keep it exclusive and unique." Better get in now! And if you don't sign up in time, one box will also be making its way into the BUST Christmas Craftacular raffle on December 14.

Another great subscription idea is PeriodBox, "a premium monthly subscription service that bundles your choice of tampons and pads with hand-picked goodies and exquisite treats to cheer you up when you most need it". This includes a selection of  teas, chocolates from artisan manufacturers, beauty samples and an art or design print.

They ship the package to you five days before your period is due, and will "Mix n' Match" it to suit your flow. It's bound to take a little stress out of PMS.
