On September 26, these engineers from the India Space Research Organization celebrated the successful mission to Mars. This mission was so successful because they were the first country to send a craft that entered Mar's orbit on the first attempt. It was also the cheapest of all Mars missions, costing only $74 million. Hooray for the Mars Orbiter Mission, aka MOM! This MOM of a mission named their space craft Mangalyann, meaning "Mars craft" in Hindi. It made the trip safely in less than a year, having left November 5, 2013. Congrats ladies! It's one giant step for womankind!
