New Fall Issue d217c

Fee: $35

This class is a unique opportunity for women to personally and experientially engage with the ideal of the female body in our culture. Through movement, discussion, journaling and the Alexander Technique we will deconstruct the deep seated beliefs we hold about our bodies and begin to discover how we might recreate our relationship to the pressures of the feminine beauty standard. The intention for this class is that it will develop into a longer workshop in which each participant will be guided towards the creation of original art, writing or performance work inspired by their unique perspective on this subject.

Led by Sheila Bandyopadhyay: performer, choreographer and Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique.
