I have been in love with Dame Darcy's Meatcake comics for years, so I was ecstatic to find out she is releasing a new graphic novel this month called 'Gasoline: A Rock and Roll Apocalyptic Fairytale.' If you haven't heard of Dame Darcy, she is a graphic artist, cartoonist and musician (and long-time contributor to BUST) who has acquired quite a cult following for her rollicking, gothic-Victorian comics. Gasoline is about two orphaned witches in a post-apocalyptic world and if it is anything like her previous work (think half Edward Gorey, half swashbuckling cabaret adventure) it is sure to be amazing.
