Republican strategist Ana Navarro has made it clear that she is sick of Donald Trump's shit, especially in the wake of Trump bragging about sexual assault. From calling Trump a racist in two languages on CNN, to her inspiring tweets about how disgusting Trump is, Navarro is not shying away from calling Trump and his supporters out. And her takedown of Trump surrogate Scottie Nell Hughes on Monday is just the latest and greatest example.

During Anderson Cooper 360, Hughes excused Trump's "Grab them by the pussy" comments as an unfortunate consequence of living in a society where erotic novels are a thing.

"Unfortunately, we have made that to be sort of a part of the culture, a Fifty Shades of Grey culture in today’s society that men can talk like that," Hughes said.

She also sprinkled in some Magic Mike and "The vampire trilogy" references for flavor. Navarro immediately called her out on her excuses, calling them "Fifty shades of crazy."

“If he wants to be held to that standard, great, then go write ‘The Art of the Groping,'" Navarro said. "But if you are running for president of the United States, you are a role model... You're held to a higher standard."

In an attempt to suggest we all make mistakes (like casually discussing plans for sexual assault), Hughes also tried to come after Navarro's own life choices, which Navarro coolly explained is why she doesn't run for public office.

E.L. James, the author of Fifty Shades of Grey, also got in on the discussion through Twitter:

The next month of this election is going to be brutal, but at least we have Ana Navarro's smackdowns to keep us going.
