Those lovable kooky sisters, Coco Rosie are back with another amazingly freak filled video, "God Has a Voice and She Speaks Through Me." Be on the look out for a cool limited-edition picture disc 7" released on 7/8/08 from Touch and Go. ...

This book was fell into my lap and captured my attention like an old family album or school year book. Punk Pioneers, a photography book shot by Jenny Lens, doesn't read like a coffee table book but more like a yearbook, given the, at least to this girly who's into punk, famous faces in it. The Ramones, the Screamers, Debbie Harry, Van Halen and Joan Jett are in it. The Sex Pistols even make an appearance. Lens's images have a causual air about them,...

One of my favorite lady artists is Becky Stark. The songs she makes with her band Lavender Diamond are not only beautiful, but the message is always positive and full of love. looks like the band has made a secret movie to accompany their Matador records  release Imagine our Love. If you are in LA, you are very lucky because they are having what promises to be a wonderful evening of performances on Tues. May 27th  called Psychedelic Healing Visions: A Love Song and Dance...

OK, Callie turned us on to this Florida rapper Riskay awhile ago, and now she's got a video for everyones favorite song about that worrisome cheating boyfirend. The chorus is ridiculoulsy catchy, I promise if you hear this at least once, you wiil not be able to get it out of your head. NY Magazine calls it an instant classic. Check out Callie's interview with Riskay in the June issue of BUST, on newsstands in a few weeks. ...

There seems to be an abundance of good music coming from the Continent these days, with Duffy and Adele from the UK, Yelle and Uffie from France, and these guys (also from the UK) which are on heavy rotation here at the office. enjoy! ...

In the battle to be the next Amy Winehouse two contestants have emerged as frontrunners.  In this corner, I give you Duffy: And in this corner, we have Adele:    Personally, I think Adele's kind of a snoozefest and Duffy's got the better chance at the title, but what do you think? ...

I love the Black Keys, their latest record Attack and Release (Nonesuch) is amazing, here is the video for Your Touch. I think one of the reasons I love them so much is that singer Dan Auerbach sounds exactly like Paul Rodgers from the 70's band Bad Company. Below is a BC clip from 1975, check out the crop top and white bells, and those might just be clogs on his feet. YES!!  ...

I'm not a dog owner, nor do I play one on TV, but I'm obsessed with the Animal Planet show "It's Me Or the Dog." Partially it's because I'm a sucker for seeing dogs misbehaving adorably, but I also have a massive girl crush on the show's resident trainer, Victoria Stilwell. She's like a tiny package of cranky British sternness, administering verbal beatdowns to dog owners insane enough to do things like feed their pets ice cream cones every afternoon (an actual example). Stilwell...

As an unashamed Leslie Hall-ic, I often find myself scoping out her youtube channel for new videos, live performances, or episodes of Ring My Bell, Leslie's call in show where she chats and offers her wise advice to live callers while eating potato chips, discussing Midwest culture, and doing stretches...Watch and laugh for yourself....
