Movies
Lake Bell, who directed the great In A World... returns for her second film as a director. This one is an ensemble comedy following three sets of couples, played by Bell and Ed Helms; Mary Steenburgen and Paul Reiser; and Amber Heard and Wyatt Cenac. Out September 1.
Peter Bratt directs this documentary about the life of labor leader and civil rights advocate Dolores Huerta. Out September 1; see BUST’s August/September issue for review.
TV
Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson, and all your other AHS faves return in the latest installment of Ryan Murphy’s horror series, this one focusing on the theme of “cults” - we don’t know much, but we know it includes creepy clowns, the 2016 election, and Valerie Solanas (played by Lena Dunham). Out September 5.
The first scripted series to premiere on Facebook’s new Watch platform stars Ze Chao, Meredith Hanger, Jemima Kirke and Shiri Appleby and is created, written, and directed by Mia Lidofsky. Out September 4.

Findakly explores her relationship with her homeland in this nuanced graphic novel, illustrated by Lewis Trondheim. Out September 5.
We Were Witches by Ariel Gore

Poptarts is a twice-monthly podcast hosted by BUST Magazine editors Emily Rems and Callie Watts that celebrates women in pop culture.
