Full disclosure, BUSTies: I’m a regular Liz Lemon when it comes to chocolate. Which means I LOVE it. So I was super excited when BUST Crafty Lady Callie offered me a bar of Lake Champlain’s Grace Under Fire chocolate to taste and review.

I was initially a little skeptical–I’d like to think that I’m fairly adventurous when trying new foods, but the description “Pistachio & Red Pepper Dark Chocolate” did throw me off a bit. But after tasting a piece, I was pleasantly surprised! The red pepper is a great complement to the dark chocolate; it’s got enough zing to let you know it’s there, but not so much that it overpowers everything else. Some of my fellow interns and BUST staffers thought it was a little too spicy, but I didn’t get that impression at all–maybe that's a result of being raised on spicy Indian food, or just different strokes for different folks. As a nice bonus, this chocolate is vegan and all-natural.

This chocolate bar was the result of collabo between Lake Champlain Chocolates and Vermont-based rock band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. It sells for $5.00 a bar (3oz), and you can purchase it here.
