At the BUST Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair, you can do more than just buy awesome clothes and accessories to make your friends jealous, you can also help save the world!
This year, Farm Sanctuary has joined us again as a non-profit partner. Farm Sanctuary was founded in 1986 with the mission of working to protect farm animals and promote a vegan lifestyle with the long-term goal of changing the view farm animals are viewed by society. They combine rescue, education, and advocacy to help meet these goals. Because of Farm Sanctuary, thousands of rescued farm animals will live the rest of their lives under attentive care in either the Watkins Glen, NY shelter or the California shelter. They will be at this event all day distributing helpful information guides and generally sending out good vegan vibes.
At their table will be Joshua Katcher and Vegan Treats. Personally, I could not be more excited to meet Mr. Katcher. His blog, The Discerning Brute, has been inspiring me and other fashion-forward vegans since 2008. Best of all, he will be handing out his fashion magazine, PINNACLE, for free! All that activism and fashion can you hungry, but fear not because Danielle Konya's Vegan Treats have been heralded as some of the best in the business. Her vegan baked goods won PBS's Feast of Sweets and she has cooked for celebs such as Alicia Silverstone, Daryl Hannah, and (a vegan hero of mine) Dennis Kucinich. Danielle will be bringing amazing desserts such as Toasted Marshmallow Campfire Cupcakes and doughnuts! There's going to be so many vegan happenings, my little heart may just burst!
Can't wait to see everyone at the BUST Magazine Craftacular and if you need me, I'll be at the Farm Sanctuary Table.
