Emma Watson Hid Maya Angelou Books On The London Subway Because Of Course She Did

Has there ever been a more perfect casting choice than Emma Watson as Hermione Granger? Our favorite teenage-witch-turned-feminist-activist recently revealed that she’s been leaving copies of Maya Angelou’s memoir Mom & Me & Mom — the upcoming book in her feminist book club — on the London Tube.

According to the Guardian, Emma partnered with Books On The Underground, a program that brings new and used books to subway riders, to leave 100 books at various locations in London. She also left notes reading, in part, “Take special care of it and when you are finished please leave it on the tube again for someone else to find.”

Emma previously wrote about her love for the book on Goodreads, calling it “one of my favorites" and "perhaps the greatest window into what shaped Angelou as a writer and poet and a fitting end to a lifetime of amazing works."

Emma shared a few photos and a video of her bookish adventure on Instagram.
