Nikki Cook was one of many artists featured in the Tori Amos comic anthology Comic Book Tattoo, with a sharp little piece about a girl kickboxer. Gotta love girls kicking ass.

Her website is full of these gorgeous black-and-white pages, pieces of a story, and her MySpace page informs us that she's breaking hearts through the sequential arts--who can resist that? And she's doing a guest spot on an issue of one of my favorite monthly books, DMZ , spotlighting Zee, Vertigo comics' coolest street medic. She's also got a book coming out from Top Shelf with DMZ writer Brian Wood, called Dogs Day End.

Keep an eye out for more goodness from Ms. Cook, and check out her work in Popgun vol. 2 as well.
