If you aren’t already familiar with Female Force or Bluewater Productions, the new issue featuring Liza Minnelli is the best place to start! The 24-page vibrant and action-packed comic book biography features the legend of Broadway, film, and television. Liza’s superstardom becomes immortalized in a super cool collaboration by a cover artist Keaton Alexander Kohl, (who created 4 awesome collectable covers), writer Michael L. Frizell, who has creative and creative non-fiction talents, illustrator Rafael Cordeiro, who brought visual life to her story, and publisher Darren G. Davis who put it all together. Each page is a guaranteed hit!

These cool dudes are A+ for having a Female Force series that feature the life stories of so many powerful and inspirational women. Each one of these issues is using innovative storytelling to engage readers that wouldn’t otherwise learn about these ladies. Using a comic book is a great idea to motivate young readers and future (and current) feminists to learn about the growing talents and skills of women in history.

Darren G. Davis, the publisher said, "We try to think outside of the box about our subjects. It is always fun to publish a comic book about someone who people would not expect. We wanted to showcase the strong women in today's society that have inspired generations and shaped the culture of today."

They are definitely doing just that! Previous FF heroes include Hilary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Betty White, and Martha Stewart!

New Fall Issue d217c

And Liza is one of the most important editions to the series! The daughter of singer and actress Judy Garland and film director Vincente Minnelli, she has won four Tony awards, a Grammy, two Golden Globes, two Emmys, and a special “Legends” Grammy award. More than that, when she was 19, she became the youngest woman to EVER win a Tony for leading actress for Flora the Red Menace. She is a legend and an important part of our female history that I am proud to read about (in awesome comic book form!).
