It seems like every female, and fashion-forward male, in New York is buzzing about Topshop’s grand opening tomorrow. I even have some friends from CT coming to stay with me tonight so they can be there bright and early in the morning. All this TS frenzy is blowing my mind; I just don’t get it. When those doors open, it’s going to be like a running of the bulls in SoHo. But I will say, Topshop has been doing quite a good job promoting, ‘possibly the best store-opening promotion ever’ according to NY Magazine. An ‘Everybody Loves Topshop’ van has been cruising the city giving away goodie totes and gift cards loaded with $5-$500 that lucky ladies can redeem on April 2nd only. You can get your hair done compliments of super cool Brooklyn salon Woodley & Bunny (ask for Sebastian!), a makeover from MAKE UP FOR EVER, and listen to DJ’s like The Rapture, Late of the Pier, James Murphy, and mucho more. How much more? Well rumor has it, Kate Moss herself is going to be there tomorrow. So if you can brave the inevitable crowds, the Topshop opening festivities sound like they’re worth it. Whose planning on going?
