The Raincoats and DJ Kathleen Hanna at MoMA

by Molly Labell

Have you ever gone to an exhibition at MoMA and thought to yourself “You know what would make this even better? Punk queens and riot grrrls.” Me too! Brace yourself, reader, for our dreams are about to come true. On Saturday, November 20th, the legendary Raincoats will play at the museum, preceded by a DJ sesh by Kathleen Hanna and an exclusive showing of the exhibitions “Pictures by Women: A History of Modern Photography,” and “Counter Space: Design and the Modern Kitchen.” The Raincoats performance begins at 10, but get there by 8:30 to listen to Hanna, browse the artwork and sip on some G & Ts (open bar!). Tickets for the 21+ event are $23 and available by registering for an invitation here: http://moma.org/poprally/mailinglist
