I’ll be honest—I hadn’t heard Mountain Man until about an hour ago. But, golly gee whiz, I do believe I have fallen in love! By listening to their latest album, Made the Harbor, for the past hour I feel like I’ve been transported from this rainy afternoon in a New York office building to a sunny summer afternoon on my grandma’s porch on the prairie. (Well, I guess she actually lives in the woods, but in this daydream it’s a prairie.) The ladies of this lovely trio have some of the most angelic voices I have ever heard, and their sweet melodies about things like rivers, loons, and honey bees will be the perfect soundtrack to all of your summer activities!
