House of Deréon- Are These Clothes Derrific or Derrible?

by Kaitlin Cole

House of Deréon, the fashion label created by Beyoncé’s mom, Tina, has unveiled its ads for the Autumn/Winter 2012 line. This season’s looks were inspired by Beyoncé’s stage outfits from last year’s Glastonbury festival–appropriately, the girl that the line represents is meant to be a free spirit having an awesome time at a music festival. Beyoncé pretty much looks amazing in everything, so we’re not surprised that she rocks these edgy looks, including standout pieces like a body-hugging black dress with geometric cutouts and a flowing, floor-length leopard print skirt.

There’s a lot of black leather here, which fits in nicely with the clothing’s rocker vibe. There are also deep shades of reds and violets, and some fun patterned separates that could easily be paired together to create some intriguing outfits. There’s plenty of fall trends at work here, like sequins, metallics, and leather trim. We think these getups have the “wow” factor– what do you think?
