I have repeatedly tried to teach myself to bounce. As much as I wiggle, my ass is just not having it. Because of my own failure (and believe me, I keep trying), I can’t help but be impressed by those fly few who can truly shake dat booty. Bounce enthusiasts in New York better hold onto their hot pants: a week long bounce extravaganza is taking over the city starting next Monday, April 2nd. The week of events culminates in an Easter Sunday bounce-a-thon complete with an all girl DJ lineup and an egg hunt, sponsored in part by yours truly here at BUST.
The mini-tour features friends of BUST Rusty Lazer (featured in the Men We Love issue), Heather Loop (one of Big Freedia’s insanely talented dancers) and Nicky Da B. From Chinatown to the Village to Bushwick, this weeklong event is not to be missed, and with a lineup this insane, the city just may bounce itself into a frenzy.
