A poetry event for anyone who thinks they hate poetry--and for those who love it! In honor of National Poetry Month, the Strand Book Store and BUST Magazine are proud to present an evening of spoken word on April 29th featuring some of the country's top female performance poets.
Poet Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz (BUST writer and author of "Everything is Everything") will host the reading, which will feature electrifying performances by Aptowicz, National Book Award nominee Patricia Smith ("Blood Dazzler"), Golden Globe nominee Amber Tamblyn ("Bang Ditto") and Women of the World Poetry Slam champion Rachel McKibbens ("Pink Elephant").
The show is FREE and will start promptly at 7pm at the 2nd Floor of the Main Strand Store at 12th Street & Broadway.
