HUNG: Checking Out the Contemporary Male - Opening in Williamsburg Tomorrow

Tomorrow evening Gitana Rosa Gallery in Williamsburg will kick off the fall season with a multimedia exhibition revolving around the male nude. Whether exalted in Greco-Roman times as a figure of heroism or dismissed as an unneeded presence of male dominance, the male body is a fascinating subject. "Hung" recognizes this and the artists featured in the exhibition are working to challenge both men's and women's perceptions of the male nude.

Where do we stand in contemporary times on the portrait of a man in all his glory?

Come out to the Gitana Rosa Gallery tomorrow night for the opening reception of "Hung." The night runs from 7-10PM and is sponsored by Hangar One Vodka and Kraken Rum - so it's sure to be a fun night. If you can't make it out, "Hung" will be featured at the gallery until October 16th.
