Web Series “F to 7th” Makes Being a Middle Aged Lesbian Way Funnier Than it Seems

by Mary Rockcastle

“I’ve just found my new favorite thing.”

That’s what I thought to myself while watching Ingrid Jungermann sext “I want to respect you from behind” in her Web Series “F to 7th.” The episode–my favorite of the first season–revolves around Ingrid’s sexual relationship with guest star Ann Carr, when the women find out they were both wearing the strap on in the relationship, quite literally.

“F to 7th” deals with Jungermann’s sexuality as a lesbian stepping closer and closer to middle age. With guest stars like Amy Sedaris and the hysterical Ashlie Atkinson, the show reflects Ingrid’s character against these absurd characters to create a relatable yet refreshing humor.

Amy Sedaris appears to play Ingrid’s Aunt Kate, who drinks three margaritas in the 4 minute webisode, and manages to insult lesbians while also seeming like she wants to be one. “I don’t have anything against gays,” she says, “I just don’t want them shoving their tongues places I can’t talk about at holiday parties.”

The second season of “F to 7th” hits Ingrid’s YouTube channel on May 5th. The wepisodes are released on Mondays and Thursdays, and this season welcomes guest stars like Michael Kostroff, Roberta Colindrez, and Kristen Connolly, just to name a few.

Jungermann says about season 2:

The humor in this season is a bit more wicked than the last. It explores how fragile your self-worth is when it comes to family, and how easy it is to regress into the child you used to be. I believe the best comedy comes from exposing your darkest secrets and inviting an audience to laugh along with you. I’ve also experimented with more of a through-line and character arc so that while the episodes are still stand-alone, there is an element of continuation into the next moment.”

I will absolutely be sticking around to see where Jungermann and the pals end up next.
