Tim Curry Had a Stroke, We Still Haven’t Quite Recovered From the News

by Mary Grace Garis

Here’s something that sent a chill throughout the otherwise humid BUST office: actor Tim Curry suffered a major stroke and is now recovering in his LA home. Sad!

From Broadway to Hollywood and back again, Tim Curry has long been an acting legend. He’s had movie roles in everything from Clue to Muppet Treasure Island, not to mention he voiced the meme-worthy Nigel Thornberry in Nickelodeon’s Wild Thornberrys. Most significantly, however, was his role as the gender-bending Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, where he sang in six inch heels and fishnets like a boss.

Basically, the man is amazing and only 67, and I’m not ready to lose him.

But let’s not panic. According to his agent, “Tim is doing great” and is “in good humor.” Most importantly, his speech hasn’t been affected, so hopefully he’ll be making a return to the stage in no time. Preferably in six inch heels, but I’m not picky.
