Swimming Cities floats to India

by Janelle

Don’t miss out this Saturday, February 19th, on not only an open bar at Gallery 151, but also a chance to support Swimming Cities and their crazy floating performance venue for the Ganges River, India. Set to float in April, this large-scale project consists of five separate pontoon boats that form together in a radial pattern and designed especially for the unique conditions of the Ganges.

A collaboration of local artists and Brooklyn’s Swoon, this project is one of the most challenging and ambitious for Swimming Cities.  There’s a suggested $10 donation and ridiculously long open bar from 7 pm – 1 am. If you’re in New York this week stop by Gallery 151 and join in the silent auction of over 100 works. Help Swimming Cities’ theater float right into India themed on its journey and celebrating India’s cultural richness.
