So, after a year of living in NY, I finally got my lazy ass to the library. The first book I checked out? Anne of Green Gables! Because guess what, I’d never read it. I’m not sure how that happened but now I’m knee deep in Avonlea, with my bosom friend Anne Shirley keeping me company on the subway and totally digging it. So I’ve decided to spend my summer days re-visiting the books I loved growing up (Weetzie Bat!!) and reading the ones I somehow missed. So help! What were your fave books growing up? The ones you couldn’t put down, that totally rocked your world, that you wished were real so you could befriend the heroine? I need a list that will last me till fall, so please, hit me up with suggestions!
