Sprout Robot Makes Planning Your Garden Easy

by Intern Caroline

The more I read about Monsanto, the giant biotechnology company which owns 90% of the United State’s genetically modified seeds, the more I want to start paying more attention to the sources of my food. Since I live in a small apartment in Brooklyn, I’m not really able to sustain myself by gardening, but maybe some BUST readers can!

All this could be yours

Sprout Robot makes it easy to start gardening–no green thumb required! It’s a web service that tells you when to plant fruits and vegetables and, for an extra cost, sends you seeds.  Joining the email list is free of charge and Sprout Robot will send you a notification when it’s time to plant. All you have to do is enter your zip code and you’re instantly linked to all the fruits and vegetables that are in season. Pretty rad!
