Perfect Pussy and Joanna Gruesome to release Split 7″, Faces Everywhere Melt

by Emily Robinson

The hardcore/punk/whatever gods have opened up the sky and blessed us with new songs from not just one, but two of the most talented bands making music right now.

Perfect Pussy and Joanna Gruesome are releasing a split 7” (because, of course, it’s on vinyl) that features two new songs from both artists *Heart palpitations*. It is yet to be released until some time in September, BUT DON’T LOSE FAITH. They each made one of the tracks available to stream via Soundclound: Perfect Pussy revamped the Sugarcubes’ “Leash Called Love”, while Joanna Gruesome released their brand new song “Psykick Espionage”

But wait, there’s more. The vinyl (via Captured Tracks) is packaged in a comic book developed by the two bands and illustrated by Phil McAndrew (check out his work here).

In a press release, McAndrews noted that both he and Perfect Pussy wanted to “poke fun at classic superhero comics and misogynists” while keeping it “weird and silly.”

BE STILL, my beating heart.

Check out the track list below and be sure to catch them on their fall tour!
