by Larissa Dzegar

Rarely is the role of men in feminist activism addressed in an organized forum, backed by research and experience, as it will be tomorrow in the panel, “Building Partnerships: What Men Can do to Advance Women’s Leadership.” Hosted by Barnard College’s Athena Center for Leadership Studies, which is run by renowned civil rights attorney Kathryn Kolbert, the event features panels on women’s leadership in the private sector and in public institutions. Speakers include: Debora L. Spar, president, Barnard College; James Basker, professor of English and Richard Gilder, professor of literary history, Barnard College; Stephanie Bell-Rose, managing director, TIAA-CREF Institute; Wade Henderson, president and CEO, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the Leadership Conference Education Fund; Craig Jones, global head of diversity, Barclays Wealth; Rosabeth Moss Kanter, Ernest L.
