Paloma Faith Passes on the Olympic Torch…In Style, of Course

by Intern Christina

British singer Paloma Faith showed that even if you’re not an athlete, you can win a gold medal for style on Saturday when she carried the Olympic torch through East London. She donned six-inch fire truck red stilettos, so that she would be comfortable for the run, and a pompadour hairstyle colored similarly to the flame itself. Faith also customized the official Olympic torchbearer tracksuit into a crop top and pedal pushers. Talk about going for the gold.

With her new album debuting at the top of the UK charts to critical acclaim, two ecstatic sold-out concerts at the Somerset House last week, and an album about to hit America for the first time the end of this year, Paloma is truly on fire. All of this taking place on her birthday was the icing on the cake; Faith wrote on Twitter: “Thank you all for your birthday wishes today! I’m going to carry the Olympic torch today. Biggest candle I’ve ever blown out!”
