Last night was the kick off party for the NYC Food Film Festival, and boy was I in heaven. (Don’t I look happy?) The “Shuck ‘n Suck” event took place at the Seaport and guests were treated to an endless array of raw oysters (6500 to be precise) , broiled oysters (w bacon) and even oysters w grits– along with the prerequisite beer, wine and specialty cocktails. The idea of the festival is to pair several short movies about the particular food while the audience eats said food, such a great idea! There are a bunch more events going on around town, so check the site and make sure to go, and watch all the great shorts and docs, its stuff like this that make living in NYC so worth it!
