Married to the Mob: Pouch Surfing

by Amy Carlberg

It’s that awkward time of year when you don’t know whether to wear a sweater or a jacket, jeans or leggings, which begs the question: pouch or purse?

Married to the Mob makes that decision painfully easy. This line of totes adorbs pouches comes in flashy/trashy metallics with bitchin’ (not to mention relatable!) feminist phrases printed on them. Such as:

Are the cute bags reminders? Suggestions? Hints as to their contents?

Keep in mind the company was started by a woman who longed to see the attitude of street style her male counterparts flaunted with such machismo designed for women. While this can mean pink, it definitely doesn’t mean pretty. Married to the Mob girls will cut you. Ultimately the pieces speak to the sulk, the pout, the sneer that make certain brands, and feminism, so darn fun–and how we as women can embody that. Fashion speaks louder than words sometimes: there’s a reason they call them “statement pieces.”

This wonderful thing even popped up while I was shopping around! Married to the Mob sure knows what we want to hear.
