In honor of the reunion of Fleetwood Mac announced this week (we’re talking new album AND tour!!!!), you should not miss this gorgeous cover of “Dreams,” performed by former Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and musician Dana Williams. The song was written by Stevie Nicks for the album Rumours (1977), and it was Fleetwood Mac’s only #1 hit in the US to sell over one million copies. Yea, Stevie’s good like that.
The cover is definitively worth a listen on a gloomy day like today (seriously New York, muggy AND rainy? We just can’t win). These two lovely ladies sound seriously awesome together, and it helps that they chose a seriously awesome song.
Meester is, of course, most well-known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the TV series Gossip Girl, but now you know she is also a musician! So. Fab.
