Ghostbusters Reboot with an All-Female Cast!?

by Sonia Edwards

I’m totally down to watch an old movie when the mood strikes (and believe me, it strikes often).  I am not a fan, however, of sequels, three-quels, or reboots (especially when it’s barely been ten years since the original—I’m looking at you, Fantastic Four). But this rumored reboot actually seems like an awesome idea.

Earlier this week, Variety reported that director Paul Feig might be in talks to direct a Ghostbusters reboot, with one huge difference: an all-female ghost-busting team! Huzzah! If anyone can pull this off successfully, it’s Feig. You may know him as the director of Bridesmaides and The Heat, and he’s currently working on a new Melissa McCarthy movie, Spy, expected in 2015. Obviously, he is no novice in the world of kick-ass lady-centric comedies.

Unfortunately, nothing is set in stone yet, and I actually feel like I’m kind of jinxing this whole thing by talking about it so much. But what the heck—as long as it’s still all up in the air, I thought I’d share a few of my picks for the new wave of lady ghostbusters, with some help from Photoshop.
