New York has a bomb-ass burlesque scene, and Bushwick Burlesque hopes to extend their bomb asses to the outer boroughs. Hard-partying Brooklynites looking for a good time without straying stumbling-distance from your local bar: this is not to be missed.
Bushwick Burlesque goes down twice a month at The Morgan in Bushwick. Thanks to powerhouse producers/performers Darlinda, Just Darlinda and Miss Spoke, your Tuesday nights just got a little more sparkle, and a lot more sexy. Tonight’s show features guest star Fem Appeal (the producer of New York’s Kitty Nights), as well as the aforementioned duo whose behinds are behind the event. There will be drink specials, including $4 cups of “Bushwick Bootie Juice” (which I can only guess is as fun to drink as it is to say), and music by DJ Mel Huckabee.
The next edition of Bushwick Burlesque, on September 27, includes special guest Dixie Ramone, who comes to Brooklyn by way of Italy:
