This week, Broad City returns with a trippy, partially-animated episode appropriately called "Mushrooms." When they’re making the shrooms: Lindsay: What are they making? Food or drugs?Danielle: Are they putting the shrooms in the food?Lindsay: I don’t know any of these names they’re saying. Danielle: Oh no. where are they going? … oh, like a drug trip. Because “Mushrooms” is the name of the episode.Lindsay: Ew. They just ate mushroom yogurt. When they become cartoons: Danielle: She has no feet! HOW ARE THEY IN PUBLIC RIGHT NOW!? Lindsay: I...
Our October/November BUST cover gal Sarah Silverman has just released a promo (in the form of a patriotic song) for her new talk show. I Love You, America is Silverman’s new Hulu talk show where she explores America to meet people who are "un-like-minded." The show will try to move out from under the shadow of politics and focus on connecting with people who may not agree with you.  The musical promo addresses some big issues — especially in white feminism. While Sarah sings about loving all...
It’s been ten years since the most problematic and loveable teen drama of the 2000s graced our screens for the first time. When it premiered in 2007, Gossip Girl was a revelation. Thanks to the internet, it was popular in a way that hadn’t been seen in television before, and its portrayal of the way social media affected its characters' lives was eerily prescient. The series, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who also made The O.C., originally ran on The CW for six seasons and finished in 2012....
This week, Broad City returns with “Just the Tips,” and the episode really is all about them: Nails, genitalia, and even amatuer relationship advice. Additionally, a previous character is reintroduced, and an…accident…is thrown abruptly into the mix. Check out our reactions this week! On the opening scene: Danielle: Is he Donald Trump? Lindsay: No, he’s too fashionable. Danielle: IT’S DONALD TRUMP! Lindsay: No! … Maybe Eric at best. When Ilana has a ton of cash money: Danielle: She puts her money in her bed? Why? Lindsay: If you were a robber, would you look...

Take a sneak peek below, and buy the issue on newsstands beginning this Tuesday, September 26. (Or subscribe!) Leather jacket: Schott / 5 Star 14K necklace: Zoe Chicco On her dad: “I never...
Apparently witches are scary, or rather Sabrina the Teenage Witch is about to be. The CW is developing a new show entitled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is focused on the original Archie Comics version. That version followed a much darker Sabrina then you may remember from your younger years. This adaptation is being compared to the Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby — um, excuse me, Hilda and Zelda would never let something like that happen. The new adaptation shares executive producers with other CW dramas Riverdale, The Flash and Supergirl....
Last week’s episode explored two realities — one true, the other alternate — where Abbi and Ilana still became friends. This week, we’re back to reality. Abbi accidentally ships a package to her old workplace, Soulstice, and somehow ends up training Shania Twain (for real this time) with not-so-former-lover Trey. Ilana goes through her own work journey by being hired at a high-end, cut-throat sushi restaurant in Manhattan, run by none other than RuPaul. Here were our reactions. When they were volunteering at a clinic: Danielle: Oh my god,...

The 69th Annual Emmys was last night, and we all know you watched the red carpet but then just checked Twitter for news – the Oscars were dramatic enough, we’re all still a little scarred. In case you live under a rock and haven’t heard the news: the Emmys went pretty well, and considering we’re living in practically apocalyptic times, it was a nice reality break. Celebrities even honored the Dream Act by wearing blue ribbons. Also, from now on we’ll all be referring to RuPaul as...
The Broad City season 3 finale, “Jews on a Plane,” left us with Abbi and Ilana being tackled to the ground and accused of terrorism on an Israel-bound plane. In reality, Abbi unexpectedly got her period and Ilana attempted to discreetly crowdsource for a light-flow tampon. (Now we know who uses those.) But in season 4, we have no idea if they’re alive. If they got deported back to the United States. If their bags got lost. Or if they're enjoying their Birthmark trip. That’s because the...
BUST’s current cover gal, Gina Rodriguez of Jane the Virgin, is continuing to speak out for immigrant rights — this time by producing a new TV series about undocumented immigrants. Titled Illegal, it’s an hourlong dramedy that will air on the CW. Illegal will tell the story of a teenager who was brought to the US as a child, and his family, writes Deadline. It's based on the real-life series of Jane the Virgin writer Rafael Agustin, who was born in Ecuador, grew up in American,...
