Do you love reality television, New Orleans, and a positive message? Are you a twerk connoisseur who’s looking for a new, innovative way to shake your ass? Do you subscribe to the mantra, “If we would shake a whole lot more, a lot less bullets”? If so, Fuse is working on your new favorite show. Almost Famous will document the life and times of Big Freedia, the New Orleans bounce music sensation. In Queen Freedia’s words, bounce music is “simple, up-tempo, heavy bass, call and response type music. And it has a lot to do with ass shaking.” The show will feature Freedia’s music as well as her message: that New Orleans needs to substitute dance and positivity for aggression and hostility. Freedia explains, “I try to keep our city on a positive note, so people can forget about all the stressful things they’re doing throughout the day.” Fuse hasn’t announced when Almost Famous will premiere, but expect to see Big Freedia shaking her ass on your TV screen in the very near future.
