Sarah Beall dresses like she’s straight out of the 1950s — but while Betty Draper might approve of Sarah's white lace gloves, full skirts and nipped-in waists, she would likely be shocked by her career. Sarah is the curator for MakeLoveNotPorn.tv, a website that curates and rents sex videos “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” In our latest issue, we talked with Sarah about her fashion inspiration, favorite vintage finds and her advice for girls developing their own personal style. Baddie Winkle is the pseudonym of 87-year-old Tennessean Helen Van Winkle, a pop culture icon best known for sporting Justin Bieber printed Ts, gold chains, cut-off shorts, and whatever else rains down from the skies of Tumblr. You probably caught her on MTV's Video Music Awards last Sunday, and now, the world must know her story. After Winkle’s beloved son and husband died, she was rightfully overcome with grief. Encouraged by her 19-year-old great granddaughter, Kennedy, Winkle sought a total fashion makeover as a tool for healing and reclamation. Read More
If you’ve somehow managed to avoid hearing about this yet (kudos to you if you have), Miley Cyrus hosted the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday. Everything was rainbow-colored. Kanye West said that he’d run for president in 2020. There were so many weed jokes that developing a secondhand high by simply watching the show was totally plausible. It was, truly, a sight to see. The shindig ended with Cyrus performing her new song, “Dooo It!,” and then announcing that she just dropped her new album for free. Titled Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, it’s a sprawling 23-track record. Read More

Jemaine Clement is wearing a vintage red, white, and blue crop top when I meet him at the Claw Money shop in N.Y.C. where our photo shoot is taking place. It's exactly the kind of silly outfit that could easily have been worn by his character in Flight of the Conchords, the hilarious HBO comedy series that Clement, along with his writing and music partner Bret McKenzie, wrote and performed in from 2007 to 2009. DIY Pressed Flowers

BY BUST Magazine in DIY

With just a few pretty blooms and some ordinary household supplies, you can press flowers in a flash.  Pressing flowers has to be one of the easiest crafts in the world. And if you make it now, you’ll have bit of summertime to cheer you through the coming cold winter months. Read More

Celebrities play a huge role as influencers on the general public, especially when it comes to health and beauty. Unfortunately, the standards many of these stars set are highly unrealistic -- take Kim Kardashian, for example.  The hours of makeup and editing make her look stunning and quite literally flawless, but it's just not attainable by us common folk. This is problematic because some young women may idolize the image Kim has created and feel inferior or self-conscious about their own looks. Read More
