Regardless of how you might feel on our country's position in the battlefield, one thing is for sure. The men and women who courageously serve and sacrifice their lively hood on a daily basis to protect the good old US of A, deserve a hard rocking salute. Thankfully, the USO has paired up with VH1 to turn those over worn military uniforms into groove loving dancing pants.
Mark your calendars folks because on December 5th at 9:00pm VH1 Divas Salute The Troops is going to invade your nearest television! Serving up a BUST worthy lineup starring Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and Sugarland. These artists will perform in front of thousands of uniform troops at the MCAS Miramar. Taking the effort to thank Marines, soldiers, airmen, sailors, coast guardsmen and reservists, Paramore will be bestowing the gift of rock n' roll at an undisclosed military base stationed in the Middle East. Can we say awesome? I think we can.
Launched in 1941, the USO has delivered iconic acts such as Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis Jr., and Frank Sinatra to boost troop morale. Working together to make beautiful music, VH1 is dedicated to collaborating with USO to continue this tradition in fresh and exciting ways. The performance will also be broadcasted via the Armed Forces Network to the men, women and families of the Armed Forces stationed outside of the United States, courtesy of the Armed Forces Network.
