I’ve watched Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp For Girls grow and kick butt since their first session in 2001 teaching girls ages 8-18 how to rock hard, but living on the east coast I could only dreamily wish of wailing on a guitar in Portland, Oregon with the rest of them. Now the latest venture of the Camp is The Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp For Girls book. Chronicle Books is celebrating this rocking book by announcing the Girls Fender® Guitar Giveaway!
Heres the deal: Write to email@example.com with the subject line GIRLS ROCK and dish on who your all-time favorite female rock idol is and why by August 15th, 2008 to get some rad prizes. All entries will be judged by Marisa Anderson, Artistic Director of the Portland camp and editor of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls book.
Five winners will receive free copies of the book, and one grand-prize winner will receive a Squier® Hello Kitty® Dreadnought acoustic guitar, featuring a custom decal of Hello Kitty® and a pink pickguard. This sturdy, gloss-finish basswood guitar (a $330 value) also features a rosewood bridge, chrome die-cast tuners, and special fingerboard position inlays—plus, it comes with a reinforced Fender® molded plastic guitar case. I would love to get my fingers on one of these!
