Here the psychedelic and surreal meet the vivid and sensual in the art of Geminita. Original Art, Prints, Acrylic Paintings, Watercolor, Collage, one of a kind handcrafts, Buttons, ACEO and tee shirts! When I’m not prowling the streets of downtown San Antonio soaking up the smell of toasted tortillas and Tex-Mex, I’m working on GLUE (http://glueblob.blogspot.com), or nose deep in any number of books. I love living in the Deco District tending to my family and my many passions. Painting is among them. I would say it loiters near the forefront of my mind more often than other things I enjoy. The paints whisper to me when I open the desk drawer rummaging for my checkbook or lip balm. The paintbrushes all rush to meet me when I pull out my drawer of writing utensils. I can sense their excitement. I paint to quiet my inner nag (“You need to pick up a brush and stop watching NOVA!”) and share my perspective of life. Painting helps to quench my thirst with fluid creativity. My favorite materials range from acrylic paint to cotton swabs. I have got a serious addiction to Thai food and Italian Soda. Other obsessions include the colors turquoise, green and especially purple, politics, books, music, both Bill Murray and Hicks, philosophy, ethics, lobsters and Sanrio.
