Our favorite synth-punk group has just released a LOL-able video for the crazy infectious “Get A Job” off their latest album A Joyful Noise. The video features the Beth, Nathan, and Hannah dancin’ around the pages of the classifieds, acting as cat groomers, phone sex operators, masseuses, telemarketers, dentists, and way more. The idea behind the song and video was inspired by growing up around rich kids whose parents paid for everything in their lives, while the band members of Gossip were sweatin’ it and working hard for the money at fast food chains. (“I’d love to stay and party but I gotta go to work.” I think we can all relate to that, amirite?) I know I won’t be able to get that beat or Beth’s voice out of my head for the rest of the day.

Enjoy the amazing video above and while you hum “Girl! You need to work real ha-a-a-ard” take a gander at this list of former jobs the band have had over the years:

Burger King
Phone Psychic
Custodian at the Evergreen State College
Mail order at K Records and at Kill Rock Stars
I'm a farmer now and there's no money in it.

Paper boy
Dishwasher at a German retirement home
Condom store employee
Dildo salesperson (This is real and was actually different than the condom store.)

Bud’s Discount Warehouse
Wal Mart
Puff’s $12 Zoo
Sonic Burgers
Western Sizzlin’
A&W Hot Dogs
King’s Den Hair Dressers
Metro Clothing
Mrs. Powell’s Cinnamon Rolls
Tee’s Me
Coffee People
Black Cat Coffeehouse
Sharif’s Coffee
I ran a hair salon out of my house
I can’t even remember all the jobs! Nathan called me the professional job destroyer.
