We recently reported that Yoko Ono is still dominating the art/music scene, and this new collaboration of hers is the cherry on top of the sundae.

As announced on Wu-Tang Clan’s website, Yoko Ono and RZA will be pairing up for a special 10-inch vinyl release. For this release, all the proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Literary Society, a non-profit New York-based organization that provides studies in literature to children.

The vinyl release will include live recordings of the songs “Seed of Joy/Life Is a Struggle.” It will also feature Yoko’s Plastic Ono Band’s “Greenfield Morning I Pushed An Empty Baby Carriage All Over The City.”

The one and only RZA

But you better get your copy quick, because these babies will be flying off the shelves. There’ll only be a limited run of 1,000 one-sided vinyls made for the public, and the B-side will include an etching done by Yoko.

Yoko and RZA previously worked together in 2010, where they staged a night of performance art in Los Angeles’s Orpheum Theater. At that event, the two played chess and performed musical duets. However, this special album will be the pair’s first time recording together. My ears are already crying from this beautifulness.

Thanks to Wu-Tang Clan
