Everyone knows that the big apple is the ultimate hub when fusing art with fashion. Want a taste of refreshing up and coming creations? Walk through the dimly lit rustic Ace Hotel and trek up to the 8th floor for a gathering that is sure to please!
The hotel is hosting a pop-up show room sample sale featuring 10 local-minded independent and eco-friendly designers. Walk your pretty self on up and meet the faces that put the glimmer in the gold, and feel free to come with questions. At the sale you will find treasures in the form of jewelry, hand silk screened shirts and other nifty accessories. Alluring in subject matter and sweet in girlish appeal, Georgia Varidakis will be selling her nature inspired adornments like her Lewis Carroll approved White Rabbit Necklace and copper rabbit head earrings. Need to put some fancy on those tired working hands of yours? Just mosey on down to the Species by the Thousands booth and pop on their Shell Skeleton Ring for good measure. The shop is working in conjunction with The Shiny Squirrel and is open from 11am to 8pm through this Thursday September 23rd in room 811.
What's that I hear? Your work week is more packed than a can of sardines? You still want to say hello to Miss Varidakis and the Species by the Thousands crew? Don't fret my pets! You can catch them both, and so much more in this weekend's Bust Craftacular at the Maker Faire. You can find a complete list of all the totally radical vendors that will be peddling their goods right here, and don't forget that golden ticket! Snag yours here, at the online Maker Fair box office.
