I noticed she (Lori) wasn't posting...BUT...DID YOU ALL NOTICE that once I mentioned she was PROBABLY the same lady from last year (the Holistic lady) THAT IS WHEN SHE FINALLY STOPPED POSTING....HMMMMMMMMM

Oh well.....less stress for all of us...To bad she deleted her blog though. That took alot of time I'm sure, and IT WAS HELPFULL.

Everything's going good here for me. Still SMELLLESS...from using the Flagyl vaginally, AND, STOPPED having Sex with my ex boyfriend. I have a new one now...and we've hand sex atleast 15 -20 times in the past few months, and NOT EVEN A HINT OF SMELL has come back. Ex was a cheater. I had B.V. the ENTIRE 5yrs we were together. So...what fixed me?? Flagyl vaginally, or switching boyfriends?? Not sure...but...all I can say...is THANK YOU to whover mentioned BOTH!!! HAHAHAHA!!

I figured she would do that..we didn't need a "Nurse Ratchett" around here anyways. Has anyone seen the movie "the one who flew over the coo coo nest" with Jack Nickleson"....it's an old movie..but the nurse would remind you of her.

I read an article in a women's magazine yesterday..and since IBS has been brought up in here, I wanted to tell you about this article....

It might not be "IBS" lol There is another condition called SIBO. it is treated with rifaximin. A simple breath test detects this bacteria. This poor girl suffered from it for over a year before it was correctly diagnosed.

Here's the list of symtoms for (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth SIBO) anyone who thinks they have IBS...maybe it is maybe it isn't...

abdominal bloat/pain/cramps
chronic constipation/regular diarrhea
digestive sensitivities to foods that caused no problems before
muscle and joint aches
brain fog/trouble concentrating
blue mood
lowered immunity/catching every cold and flu
thinning hair/brittle nails/ excessively dry or oily skin

says that 20 million est. 20 million women have this syndrome..it is on the rise due to higher consumption of processed foods and antacids....

The article was in a women's magazine called "First" July 30, 2007

lately i have been thinking I have IBS because i have symptoms like

constipation
bloating pain cramps
joint aches
thinning hair and loosing hair
weight loss 10 lbs
brain fog- i feel like im trapped out of the part of my brain that lets me focus.
continues rumbles in my abs.
gas
dont have BMS regular anymore.

when i started to read about SIBO- the symptoms started to click and im thinking i have this. Its too bad i have to live with it until i get enough money to go to the doctor, or buy insurance.

Ok, one more question...does anyone know what ethnic groups are at a higher risk to development breast cancer? One of the treatments for breast cancer is hormone therapy. I'm not sure if it is done because the chemo or radiation treatments throw the hormones out of whack or, doctors feel it was the cause in the first place.

Does anyone think this too? This BV epidemic....might be caused from the growth hormones animals are being pumped up with? Or, at least, one of the causes?

Also, I'm gonna follow my own advice, to keep myself from getting discouraged.....yes, my son is one year old....but I nursed him for 8 months...my hormones...there is no way they have had a chance to get back into check....(It's been only four months since I have quit nursing.

I found a product at the drug store...it's vitamins called "mothers blend"....it supports postpartum balance, claims it helps with PMS, it also has St. John's Wort, Flaxseed, vitamin C, E, Green tea and Selenium.

I did my second acupuncture treatment today and all I can say is that I am soooooo sleepy. Geez, I didn't know it makes you feel like this. As far as hormones, I have no clue where they are right now.I have an appointment on the 23rd so I should have tests done then. Has anyone else tried Acupuncture before?

I have never tried it...Does it hurt? Of the many phobias I do have.needles are not one of them.lol Is that what they use? I don't know jack about it. I found something that knocks my ass out so I can sleep though ....allergy meds..of all things.lol. Four nights in a row (two and a half year record) I already feel like a new women.

Keep us updated..Is it expensive?

I think one of our cheapest products that we all need to focus on is stress management. i have no skills..they consisted of chain smoking marlboro lights, drinking, and listening to the relaxing mello music of old school such as Metallica or Rage against the machine..it isn't helping. It does however, make me pissed off so I'm gonna jam to that on the drive to see Dr. Dorroco. Cinderflower, made an excellent point to me...I'm not doctor hopping, I'm doctor shopping. I haven't taken the meds he prescribed to me...I really want to fuck with him bad! lol Oh, if I do have cervical cancer, this dumbass will not be the doctor who treats me, and I can't wait to tell him that either. I think I'm ok though, there was only a few questionable areas..probably still healing from the hydrogen perioxide overkill. i think that's what he sees. I'm still not stinking, and no discharge, or itch. I am gonna ask him to see my records, I really am curious if he followed all the steps to make his diagnosis for bv. I doubt it.

This soy bean, soy oil, soy supplement thing...really has me puzzled. We have infant formula..made from soy(some). What does the baby girls body do with a fake estrogen it is not ready to use yet? Is it just a radical in her body that floats around until who knows when? Or does the body have a way of getting rid of it? Is this really safe to use? Why would we want this? Maybe for Asian woman..it is ok..and doesn't cause any problems..but for other nationalities..it does..I kind of look at it this way..Koloa bears (yeah i can't spell it) don't eat maple tree leaves, nor could they survive from it. Each species is designed a certain way for a reason...

I am also curious, if the over the counter products marketed for women dealing with menapause..if these products actually give any relief..they all are made from soy....

So anyone who has some good ideas for stress management..List them...it's the cheapest product we can buy..who knows it might work... (certainly a benefit regardless.)

so we all know that recurrent bv could be caused by screwed up hormones...CANCAN recently found out that she had hypothriodism. I'm very sorry about that too! But I'm sure that you are, CANCAN already aware that hypothyriodism effects your sex hormones too! So hopefully, things will get balanced out for you soon. Did they tell you yet as to how long it will take for the medications to kick in? Can you take these meds while pregnant?

Thanks arj75 for all the info. I don't smoke, don't drink, don't eat bad food. My main flaw is that I stress out easily. So my conclusion is that this problem is caused by stress. It is at least exacerbated by stress. I know this, because everytime I feel stressed the BV comes back, or gets worse. And yes, I have hypothyroidism, but as you said, hypothyroidism can be caused by stress as well. So what came first the chicken or the egg? Looks like I will be doing addition testing like Free T3 and Free T4, just to try to see what kind of hypothyroid I have.

If I get pregnant, the doctor told me that I will have to take progesterone needles for the duration of the pregnancy, to keep levels elevated high enough. And for the thyroid, she told me that she only wants to give me medication for that once I get pregnant. But she also told me that she didn't understand my levels, and that she wants to test me for my thyroid again, just to double check.

But now that she did these preliminary tests on me, I am thinking that I should go to a specialist. A reproductive endocrinologist to find out more.

I just saw a new doctor today and she said that I probably have something called Desquamative Inflammatory Vaginitis (DIV). She took cultures just to make sure that there is nothing more specific going on. I'll find out about the results in a week or more. If it is DIV she intends to treat it with.....CLINDAMYCIN cream and estrogen cream for a couple of WEEKS. Yes, I'm scared. But I'm going to do it anyway. Its simply due to the fact that this doctor told me something I'd never heard of that I have confidence in her. I'm sure if I told my other doctors about this they wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about. Here is a google search:

I hope that is your cure Morphia!

Thanks Neverending for that link..never heard of him...no surprise as to why. I believe it.

Happy fourth of July to all! Be safe! And may the smell of sulfur(or whatever that firework smell is lol) overpower our stinch!

QUOTE(arj75 @ Jul 3 2007, 02:05 PM) *
Constant stress suppresses ovarian cycles and decreases estradiol, testosterone, progesterone and DHEA production.

A stress-induced decrease in estradiol then contributes to an imbalance in norepinephrine, serotonin, dopamine, acetylcholine, and other brain body messengers that regulate pain pathways, sleep, muscle repair, appetite, metabolism, memory, mood, energy, sex drive, and other functions.

Prolonged stress of any kind (illness, emotional) disrupts the body's balance, or homeostasis, and causes symtoms related to the constant overactivity of the fight or flight stress response pathways- headaches, muscle spasms, fatigue, fuzzy thinking, high blood pressure, IBS, colitis, angina, eczema, frequent infections, irregular periods, acne, weight gain, allergies, hives, herpes, outbreaks, anxious/panicky feelings, insomnia, depression, angry/irritable moods, heart disease, and cancer.

prolonged stress can lead to suppression of the ovaries.

Viruses, bacteria, and carcinogens alone do not cause illness in every exposed individual.

This is where my "out there" yeast theory stills fits in. Stress dumps lactic acid..which breeds yeast. I believe it is cause of disease because why? It's mainly christian scientists begging for this to be recognized.
Researchers are afraid they might be right.

Of course they are afraid! The medical profession makes millions off of us. Since you are reading this, you might want to read about Hulda Clark and Dr. Royal Rife. Hulda Clark is classified as a quack but her theories are becoming reality. Dr. Royal Rife found the cure for cancer and other things as well.

Marijuana

disrupts brain centers that regulate hormone production

Luteinizing hormone is suppressed (doesnt rise during ovulation

has two chemicaLs in it that compete with estradiol for binding at the estrogen receptor

elevates prolactin

increases anxiety

Alcohol

Women have less enzymes that breaks down alcohol, so its really hard on our bodies (even social drinking)

alcohol disrupts the normal menstrual cycle and causes problems with ovulation

lowers production of estradiol and testosterone (early menopause)

impairs brains GnRH pulse generator that triggers proper release of FSH and LH

menus cycle length shows greater variability

have cycles ..but don't ovulate

heavier menstrual flow and more painful

drinkers suffer more from PMS

Sorry if this has already been said.

Cigarette Smoking:
Reduction in the ovaries ability to make estradiol

Increased metabolic breakdown of estradiol by liver enzymes that are induced (made overactive from smoking)

been known to cause early menopause

diminished serotonin production

decreased blood flow and nutrients to cells

reduces red blood cells oxygen carrying capacity

decreases absorbtion of vitamins (especially group b vitamins)

nicotine increases anxiety and irritability

(while sleeping) when body is withdrawling..leads to more frequeny awakenings and loss of stage 4 sleep that is crucial for muscle repair, growth horomone secretion, and keeping the brain healthy, among other restorative functions

Hey everyone,

so we all know that recurrent bv could be caused by screwed up hormones...CANCAN recently found out that she had hypothriodism.

Get this shit, Although, I have asked two doctors if there is such a thing as prehyperthyriodism..they all chuckled..oh no no. Well guess the fuck what..yes it does exist, but a different type of test (looking for a certain anitbody) has to be done. I have an appointment with an endo specialist in two weeks. This condition also fucks up sex hormones too. I'm really not hoping to have this..but I guess if it's still in the pre..then it hasnt done much damage yet.

That book that I told you all I got explains these conditions in it too. It was espensive though, but maybe your public library has it. I'm just scared some girls are gonna get the birthcontrol meds and make matters worse! I'm hoping you guys will read this, it is very helpful.

Just because women have came in here crying "I've seen every kind of doctor possible, and still not having luck..let's face it...theres one good man out of a million...theres one good doctor out of a trillion, it's not bv that is our hardest obstacle..it's finding a doctor who has brain and keeps up on research, and cares about their patients (if ours is hormonal..in a sick short of way...we might be the lucky ones....

On the back of the book..one woman's said this: "Everywomen in America should read this book. After bouching from doctor to doctor for well over a year with symptoms of anxiety, insomnia, and heart palpitations, Dr Vliet correctly diagnosed my hormonal problems. She gave me my life back!

Well, thats me..I'm sitting here wide awake after taking 2 xanax, and a lunesta, tylenol pm (2) What the fuck else could it be other than my hormones....???

I will be adding some tid bits from this book when i get some time...I want to make sure doctors arent feeding you all shit, like they keep trying to feed me all the damn time!

whenever i go to get checked for bv i tell them that i want to get tested for an infection. and they ask me if i have any symptoms of one.

jewels is a pap smear the same thing they do when they check you for bv? i always thought it was different... or do they find it on a pap smear too? because originally i thought it was on a pap smear and then the doctor told me it wasn't. i don't know i'm confused now!

Well, I was just giving her something to say when she called. She could just say, she thinks she has an infection, but is not sure, but then they might ask her symptoms. I think she was trying to avoid saying she had a "Fishy Smell" to a stranger over the phone.

Here's how Doctors diagnosis B.V.

Diagnosis. A healthcare worker can examine a sample of vaginal fluid under a microscope, either stained or in special lighting, to detect the presence of the organisms associated with Bacterial Vaginosis. They can make a diagnosis based on the absence of lactobacilli, the presence of numerous "clue cells" (cells from the vaginal lining that are coated with Bacterial Vaginosis organisms), a fishy odor, and decreased acidity or change in pH of vaginal fluid.

For some of you newbies...here's a website that may be helpfull. Just to pre-warn...when trying something for your infection...stick to one thing at a time...don't spend days and days, sticking crap up your kitty.. Everyone is different, so what works for you, may not work for me and vice/versa. But whatever you try, give it a chance, before trying something else. Otherwise..you will not know exactly what it was that helped you.
