If you were one of the hundreds who made it out to this years Craftacular in NYC, you'll probably agree that it was the best BUST event to date! Not only did the masses get to peruse the greatest handmade items this side of the Mississippi, there were tons of free goodies and charitable causes represented as well.
The morning kicked off with free coffee from Joe and goodie bags chuck full of special gifts for the first 500 peeps through the door. From jewelry to vintage clothes to organic dog treats, the crowds were tempted with an overabundance of unique items, all while shaking their groove things to the freshest jams provided by our DJs.
For those of us on a budget, it was especially exciting to sign up for BUST's raffle to win a mountain of amazing products donated by vendors. Oh, and how cool was it to make your own tote bag with the guys and gals from Provocraft! Uh-ma-zing!
A highlight of this years Craftacular was the involvement from local charities. City Harvest provided nifty holiday cards, while the Lower East Side Girls Club tantalized our tummies with cookies. As an avid animal lover, I couldn't help but fawn over the adorable dogs and cats brought by Animal Care and Control NYC to be adopted.
A few lucky pups and kitties found new forever homes, but there are still so many in need! If you live in the NYC area and your heart is just melting at the thought of giving one of these terrific animals a loving home, don't hesitate to visit ACC's website here, or call them at (212) 788-4000. Don't forget that fostering is an option too!
I had a blast at this years Craftacular, and have been showing off all of my cool new purchases to the ladies at the office. What was your favorite part of the event? Who were your favorite vendors? What was the most memorable moment? It may sound silly, but I'm already anxious for next year!
