You heard it here! This stylish songstress is BUST's August/September cover girl - AND she's releasing her highly anticipated album The Electric Lady on September 10, effectively making her the Q.U.E.E.N. of the world. We’re all thoroughly excited for her reign.

It’s no surprise that we’ve been in love with the starlet’s smooth croons and funky tunes since day one. Our affair reignited when she partnered up with Erykah Badu in early May for the song that made us dance to all of its feminist, hair-whipping, confidence-boosting glory. Basically, it’ll be every girl’s getting ready/don’t fuck with me jam for the next century.

Janelle released a video teaser for her next single “Dance Apocalyptic” today, which you can stream below. Bouncy, fresh, and unapologetic, the new single screams summer and will (spoiler alert) get you dancing in no time. Check out Pitchfork this Tuesday for its full length video premiere.

If you really can't wait to get your hands on our next issue for your fill of Janelle, catch her live on the BET Awards this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST. Dance on, Electric Lady. Dance on.
