In recent years, several brands have made a name for themselves by making bras for women of every shape and size, celebrating each customer's individuality. But what about color? What's Your Nude is a new campaign set to launch February 1st that hopes to send a message to bra manufacturers and retailers. Tara Raines, the psychologist who started the movement, is fed up with the lack of diversity offered to women of color in the lingerie department at major stores across the country and is doing her part to change that. Treat Yo'self!

I hate to be cliche, but periods suck! Between the cramps, cravings, and mood swings, I'm like a hormonal werewolf during That Time of the Month. Since I'm way too busy to roam the woods at night hoping to avoid innocent bystanders, I usually make a mad dash to the nearest CVS at the first sign of shark week in order to stock up on remedies/chocolate. But wouldn't it be rad if somebody knew when shit was about to get real and mailed me a magical package meant to soothe all my womanly ailments? That's exactly what the people at Good and Lovely do, a business that lives up to its name. Read More

I think the only thing worse than a break up is healthy bread. Break ups are wretched! After things go sour, your own home becomes a nightmare hellscape full of shit from the better times that now makes you binge-watch Downton Abbey, crying into your ice cream for poor Mary. She just wants to be her own person! Gifts, mementos, and tokens that once served as reminders of a beautiful union between two people become detritus blocking the road to Move-Onville. I'm sure Carrie Bradshaw has waxed poetic on this topic at some point, so I'll stop.    Enter NeverLikedItAnyway. Read More
Meet our newest office crush: youtube user ycfan1985. This dude loves his goddamn Yankee Candles!  You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this video  I sincerely want to bro down with this guy. He seems to genuinely appreciate the details. He doesn't make the typical "haul" video: each scent comes with a childhood memory or imagined scenario described in vivid detail. I feel like if we were buds, he'd notice when I got a haircut or new perfume and he'd definitely comment on it. He'd be down to keep me company at the laundromat even though that's such a waste of a day off. Read More

If you're anything like me, you love cats and NPR, (and you need to quit jocking my swag because cats and NPR are/have always been my thing…) so listen up because you're going to enjoy this. Shanthony Exum, better known as Miss Eaves, is currently writing six songs in as many weeks. She's asking fans to vote on the topic of each song on her Facebook. Read More
In "Well, That Was Inevitable" news, Rick Perry announced today that he's dropping his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. His campaign started out strong but faded fast after the politician's dismal performances in debates where it seemed like he couldn't remember the basic bullet points of his platform or form complete sentences.  After his homophobic-rant of a campaign ad disgusted Americans from all ends of the political spectrum earlier this fall, it became clear that this dude was bad news. As a native Texan, I've known this for a long time. Read More
More than 30,000 people have signed an online petition on Change.org stating they don't support toy manufacturer LEGO's newest campaign, a line of toys called Friends made just for girls (an already gag-inducing phrase when it comes to marketing). Critics are calling it sexist because the line makes a break from LEGO's usual build-it-yourself aesthetic. Friends features pre-assembled sets that follow gender norms like a hair salon, fashion design studio, and cupcake bakery. Read More
A video has been making the rounds this week that features a rather hateful Girl Scout calling for a boycott on cookie sales. With an unnerving amount of poise, the girl, who identifies herself as Taylor, goes on an eight-minute diatribe against the Girl Scouts of America protesting the inclusion of a 7-year-old transgender child in a Colorado troop. Taylor's video (which has now been made private) was posted and circulated by a Houston-based group called Honest Girl Scouts. Read More
What do Jay Z and I have in common? We're both making a public vow to stop using the b-word.   In light of his daughter Blue Ivy Carter's birth, Shawn Carter (better known as Jay Z) announced in an open letter that he was going to stop using the word in his songs and life.  Fatherhood has made him realize the hateful implications of this particular word--one he has capitalized on throughout his career with hit songs such as "99 Problems" and "B----- and Sisters". I think this is another step in the right direction for Carter. Read More
