One of the most famous faces in the world Frida Kahlo (born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón) was a Mexican painter whose self-portraits beautifully and honestly expressed the female form in a new way. Self-taught, Kahlo created at least 140 paintings, as well as dozens of drawings and studies. The great artist died in 1954 and was cremated, while an autopsy was never done, it was determined that her official cause of death was a pulmonary embolism. Read More
In honor of it's second year of sex positive witchy feminism, Slutist is putting on a festival filled with burlesque, sex, and art. The goal is to celebrate women, but also discuss how throughout history women who choose not to live in the norms of society are labeled as either 'witches' or 'sluts.'  The Legacy of the Witch festival invites you to be both and stray against the social norms of sex, politics, and discourse.
