And to prove it, they have dedicated their third Book of Shadows all to us. With colors like the electric blue that is Radium, Psychedelic Sister’s pretty purple, and the whitish silver of Uzi (which is what I’m guessing you would see if you were actually shot by one), what’s not to love? I barely even wear makeup and I want this thing…just look at it! Who doesn’t secretly adore a pop-up book? That being said, you better hightail it to the Times Square Sephora next Saturday, August 28th at 1 PM. Read More

stockholm street style III

BY caroline in Style

There is the final update on Stockholm Street Style, seeing as I am now in the UK. I've included some spectacularly dressed men, just fyi. I mean, seriously, check out these guys. I'm kind of in awe and I'm not just talking about the dude rocking the serious ankle breakers (I fall down stairs in f-l-a-t-s so I'm impressed when anyone can stay vertical in a shoe that has more than a three inch heel). Here is my last update on Stockholm Street Style during Fashion Week, stay tuned for some London updates-soon to come! Per usual, high res versions here. Read More
Hey all,Today was rather eventful, I photographed Bryanboy, and some rather other amazing people. Photographing street style has led me to reflect upon what makes up Swedish street style. Swedish fashion style, similar to Danish fashion style, is all about opaque black tights, architectural shoes, and beautiful, blousey and gathered shirt dresses and high, high avant garde heels. American fashion seems so much about flattering the figure and emphasizing thin-ness or what have you- it's more about hotness, but this is about art and fashion, fun with dressing. Read More

Stockholm Street Style

BY caroline in Style

Today was the first day of Stockholm's Fashion Week. I got here two days ago, to do some exploring and vaguely tourist-y type of things like visiting museums. Fashion Week here is  a lot different than fashion week in Copenhagen. Copenhagen's fashion week felt like it overtook more of the city with a lot more stores getting into the festivities, which is slightly unusual. However, it got a lot of people involved who normally wouldn't be able to participate in Fashion Week (think Fashion's Night Out that happens in New York). Read More

My final update on Copenhagen, since right now I am in Stockholm. Copenhagen's Fashion Week officially ends on the 15th, so I am missing two days of festivities. But honestly, it's rather nice to get to relax for a day or two before Stockholm Fashion Week starts. Tomorrow I am going to explore an area called SoFo- South of Folkungagatan, it's supposed to be like the Soho of New York, so I am going to go check it out and take some photos. If anyone has any suggestions of things I should go see or do in Stockholm, please post! The photos and of course the link to the hi-res versions on my blog. Read More
Wednesday night the Algonquin Hotel in N.Y.C took the liberty of putting the cat back in “catwalk”. Matilda, the Algonquin’s most beloved, and furriest, resident celebrated her 15th birthday in style by holding a feline fashion show in the hotel’s lobby. The show was hosted by John Fulton who, when he’s not introducing kitties in couture, hosts Animal Planet’s Must Love Cats. Here are a few of my personal favorite “looks” of the night:   Robert Cat-tinson even made an appearance!  All photos taken by Katie Sokoler at Gothamist. Read More
greetings again from copenhagen! so these past few days I have been photographing outside near Copenhagen City Hall, where Fashion week is being held. Essentially, the city of Copenhagen has planned all of these events in association with Fashion Week. This morning I went to a store opening with bubbles (b/c nothing is more awesome than playing with bubbles and buying Japanese clothes- nothing) and it had a great sale b/c of Fashion Week. Read More
Betsey Johnson celebrated her 68th birthday last night at her boutique in Soho, and arrived in style on a hot pink bike! Don't you just love her? She's a fashion icon that got her start in the 60's with the Warhol set and has been churning out fun, ultra-girly fashions ever since. She is definitely one of our top 10, all time favorite ladies- Happy Birthday Betsey! Check out for more fab pics of the party. Photo by Caroline Torem Craig via Papermag. Read More

Hi there, My name is Caroline, and this is my first time posting on BUST's blog. Some info about me: I am a recent college graduate and semi un-employed/freelancer photographer, I interned for BUST two years ago, I love Pillsbury roll-out pie crusts and anything that involves the word lemon or tart (preferably together but whatever), and I'm in the process of applying to grad school. I shoot street style and lots and lots of portraiture. I am also obsessed with film and dabble in digital photography. Alliteration is also something I adore. Read More

A Dress A Day

BY Nissa in Style

Today marks the 248th day of Marisa Lynch's eco-friendly fashion project New Dress A Day. The goal: renew 365 articles of used clothing in 365 days, for 365 dollars. Transitively, a new dress for just a dollar a day. When Lynch was laid off last November, she channeled the change positively, inspired by the movie Julie & Julia. “[Julie] was finding something to do every day that made her feel great. I was jealous. I thought, I want to find that. Read More
