Last night was the Vogue sponsored "Fashion's Night Out," and while I had my immense doubts about FNO stemming from last year's shit show (for a lack of a better phrase) and from the incredibly awkward name (c'mon now, an apostrophe on fashion? How is that easy to say?). I still decided to approach it with an open mind but with a large, large grain of salt.

When I was a little girl, my parents bribed me with the Little Mermaid on VHS as a materialistic means of getting me to stop biting my fingernail to the nubs. I stopped. I watched.
I guess I'm going through another mermaid phase. Growing my hair out. Wearing flowy clothes. ANYWAY, while in Houston visiting my family I stumbled upon an amazing up-and-coming jewelry designer - Christina Miller.

Ever the art-chameleon, Cindy Sherman gives us a new reason to follow Fashion's Night Out this Friday, September 10th, as Balenciaga's creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, hosts the U.S. debut of Cindy Sherman: Untitled (Balenciaga), a series of six images featuring the artist's trademark portraits, dressed exclusively and completely in Balenciaga.

Fashion week is upon us, and that means a lot of parties, and a lot of outfits! On of my favorite NYC vintage shops, Amarcord, is have a Fashion Night Out party this Friday, and I'll be one of the guest judges for their street style contest! All you have to do is get dolled up in one of your most fashion-y get-ups, stop by the Soho store for a glass of champagne between the hours of 8:45-11pm and have your polaroid taken by one of the lovely shop girls. The end of August, in London, is actually quite chilly compared to the States. Like the true stereotype of London weather, practically my entire week there was marked with drizzly rain and overcast skies. However, I love to photograph on overcast days, so it was rather nice for me. My last day there, the clouds parted and there was no rain! I ran over to shoreditch (think williamsburg of london) to capture some london street style. Per usual, high res images here.
