As much as I loved the excitement of McQueen on Middleton, the fashion from last night’s opening of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition in conjunction with the annual Met Gala is more exciting to me than all the royal wedding dresses or oscar gowns in the world! You see less celebs playing it safe and instead bringing real glamour to the red carpet. I’m glad to see that just because it’s spring, the time of simple, flirty ... Read More
Congrats to Kate and William. I know coverage is everywhere, but I wanted to talk about a few bits of awesomeness that came out of this wedding. First of all, lets take a moment to admire Kate’s glorious Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton gown. No doubt about it, she looked stunning. Gotta hand it to Sarah Burton, this is one lady who’s good at keeping a secret. The gown was classically elegant and kind of reminiscent of the gorgeous gown Grace Kelly ... Read More

Ladies, Don’t let these new ladies' underwear sets, licensed by Marvel, fool you, real super powers are all in your head. Although, the idea is a totally sweet one, I find the execution of these sets completely ridiculous and uncomfortably sexist. Airbrushed cleavage “bursting” at the seams and tiny infant sized waistlines are sending the wrong message to the self-conscious, comic-book-reading,14-year-old girl in all of us. If you want to be a ... Read More

Coachella is a place where celebrities and concert go-ers alike blend together in a sea of festival style. While it’s still a bit chilly in N.Y.C., it warms my style spirit to see spring dresses, fancy sunglasses, and wide-brimmed hats galore. These pictures are a breath of fresh air as spring officially begins and people are wearing more and more color! It’s only going to get warmer here, but I hear it was pretty warm at Coachella already. You gotta ... Read More
Model, Coco Rocha, a fan of tumblr and a blogger herself, recently came in contact with photographer, Jamie Beck, through Tumblr’s fashion director, Richard Tong. As a part of Tumblr’s fashion week collaborations, Coco and Jamie came together to create these gorgeous cinemagraphs, or as Coco describes them, “Beautiful images that are more than a photo, but not quite a video.” Wearing Oscar de la Renta and set in Coco's apartment the ... When wandering the seemingly endless world of Tumblr and fashion blogs there tends to be a never ending ocean of pictures displaying stick-thin, model looking girls and and an overall lack of diversity in size. Curve Appeal (http://curveappeal.tumblr.com) is a blog, which argues, curves are beautiful too! Many of the pictures are self-submitted by readers, along with their measurements or are found images that have made their way on to the site. ... Read More
Spring is in the air, which means so is prom season. In celebration, a few designers and models have released prom photos of themselves from back in the day. Amongst the adorableness is Betsey Johnson who, turns out, was prom queen in the frilliest, puffiest, pinkest dress imaginable. This picture just makes me so happy because, her hair might be kookier, but really not much has changed. Would you expect any less from Betsey?

You might be surprised to know that one of the best street style blogs around doesn’t chronicle the style of models or fashion editors, but, in fact, the style of senior citizens! While some street stylers favor young, model-esque bloggers who basically look good in a potato sack, Advanced Style documents the colorfully chic over 60 crowd. Since 2008, this blog has offered "proof from the wise and silver-haired set that personal style advances with ... Read More

April Showers getting you down? Brighten up your spring, by wearing one of Dutch artist's, Sander Reijgers, new hoodies made from recycled sex toys! Using patches of rubber, from what seems to be mainly from blow up dolls, these hoodies are seriously weird. Seeing the dolls gaping mouths hanging out of the back of a hood is mildly disturbing, but also strangely, pop art like.
The entire effect is very colorful, and pretty silly. I could see ... Read More
